Senator Martha Deacon

A leader in education and sports at the local, national and international level, Senator Martha Deacon will reflect on her decades of involvement as an athletic coach, team leader, board member, consultant, educator, Director on the Canadian Olympic Committee and on Commonwealth Games Canada. In her current role as a newly appointed Senator, she is committed to advancing her lifelong causes of creating healthy, active environments for youth, supporting an equitable and inclusive system on sport participation and excellence in Canada in addition to causes related to Indigenous people, the environment, and international affairs.
